Accounts & purchases
Do I need an account to use Painta?
No. You can use Painta without creating an account. Subscriptions and credits are tied to your Apple ID or Google account.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Open Painta → Settings → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're using the same Apple ID or Google account that originally made the purchase.
Subscription & billing
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not by Painta.
- iOS: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Painta → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Open the Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Painta → Cancel.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by the platform you purchased on:
- Apple: visit reportaproblem.apple.com and select the Painta purchase.
- Google Play: open Google Play → My Orders → find Painta and request a refund.

What happens to my credits if I cancel?
Credits already granted for the current billing period remain available until the period ends. After that, only Free tier limits apply.
Credits & generation
What are credits?
Credits are consumed when you run AI tools (enhance, restore, sky swap, cartoon, etc.). Free users get 20 credits on first install. Pro users get 300 credits each month, automatically refreshed.
A generation failed — am I charged?
No. Failed runs automatically refund your credits. If you see a failed result that still consumed credits, please email us with the time and tool name, and we'll restore them.
Why does generation take a while?
Most photos finish in 10–30 seconds. Higher-resolution images and more complex tools (e.g. 4K enhance, restoration) can take up to a minute. If a job is stuck longer than 5 minutes, close and reopen Painta — it will refund credits automatically.
Photos & privacy
What happens to my photos?
Photos you upload are processed on our secure servers and deleted within 24 hours. Generated results are cached for up to 30 days for performance, then deleted. Read more in our Privacy Policy.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Email zhouguanjie0811@gmail.com with the subject “Data Deletion” and we'll remove your data within 7 days.
Troubleshooting
The app crashes or feels slow.
Make sure you're on the latest version of Painta and the latest iOS/Android. Restart the app, then your device. If the problem persists, email us with your device model and OS version.
I can't export in 4K / there's a watermark.
4K export and watermark removal require an active Pro subscription. If you're subscribed but still see the limit, tap Restore Purchases in Settings.
My photo upload fails.
Check your internet connection. Painta requires HEIC, JPEG, or PNG input under 50 MB. Very long photos (extreme aspect ratios) may also be rejected.
